I was looking out for a wind gauge that measured wind speed using the Beaufort scale. I spotted this little item on Amazon and it seemed to fit the bill. It was a great price but the Amazon Marketplace seller did not post to Ireland.

Not to be thwarted at this stage, I had them deliver to my Parcel Motel address in Antrim and the Anemometer was in my hot little fist within weeks for an extra €3.50 – posted from Hong Kong.

I have used it a few times now during sailing sessions and it it proving very handy, well pleased with my latest bit of kit.
